Senior Accountant

Our firm, The Winston CPA Group, is looking for a Senior Accountant. This role will own the bookkeeping, analysis, reconciliations, and other duties for our clients. This person will actively participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles. The Senior Accountant is a key point of contact for our clients, therefore it's important that you're organized, attentive to detail, and operate with a sense of urgency.

Your Deliverables & Expectations

• Perform bookkeeping tasks for clients: A/P, A/R, account reconciliations, financial statement analysis

• Represent the firm's brand and spirit in interactions with clients, employees, contractors, and partners

• Communicate with customers utilizing strong written & verbal skills as well as deep customer empathy

• Adhere to and update SOPs and guidance documents as needed

Experience & Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in accounting

• CPA or CPA Candidate is a plus

• Advance understanding of accounting and tax principles

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and general ledger work

• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks Online, and tax prep software

• Prepare and submit client sales/excise/payroll tax returns

• An undisturbed office environment with reliable internet connection

• Able to get work done despite busy times or minimal supervision

• Comfortable communicating via email, phone, video

• Keen attention to detail and sense of urgency

The job description is not all-inclusive and certain activities, duties or responsibilities may be required as needed. These roles will start as part-time and we expect them to grow to full-time as our tax clientele grows. This is a U.S.-based role and can be either 1099 contract or employee. This job can be fully remote.

Compensation: $30-$35 per hour | $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year FT
