STH Detox Day 1 of 7

I’m starting a raw vegan 7-day detox with Spreading the Health and my gym, E.F.F.E.C.T. Fitness.

After over a year and a half, I’m going back to my gym physically - virtual was cool but it’s not the same kick-ass vibe.

How I’m feeling this morning

Feeling excited and amped to be starting the detox AND going back to bootcamp today. It’s been a minute since I’ve been to bootcamp so I know it’s gonna feel like the first time but I’m ready.

Picked up my detox stuff from Spreading The Health. 21 juices + meal plans + accountability partner. Let’s go!!!

Update: Coach kicked my ass today. Bootcamp was NO joke.

What’s Going On?

Been peeing like crazy - had to rush out the grocery store to get home and pee. Peeing a lot and it turned clear by EOD.

I'm ready to do this. I spent most of today planning my workouts and meals and also getting myself mentally ready to do this. It's 7 days but it's also a jumpstart to change some eating habits. I don't plan to totally abandon my indulgences after this - instead my focus is on incorporating more live food and plant-based foods into my diet. This is also a challenge in consistency for me.

Work is great, business is booming, family is thriving, but all things aside, this is something I need to do for ME. I owe this to myself. At first I said it was going to be hard but it's going to be what I make it.

If I can indulge in my favorite foods without giving it a second thought, I can commit 7 days to feeding my body the food it needs and deserves. That's what this is about. Let's get it!!!

  • Make sure my spaces are clean & neat

Today’s Meals

  1. Alkaline water + lemon after waking up

  2. Spinach + coconut oil + maca + frozen banana + water

Today’s Challenges

I’m thinking about a large fry with no salt from McDonald’s. I can taste the yams at Paschal’s - I want some with catfish and double macaroni and cheese.
